My Little Gardeners

I don't ask my kids to help me much in the garden.  It's kinda my thing.  However, it looks like they are learning something anyway!  My youngest daughter put together her own garden using materials on hand.

She knew she needed a fence so she got one of the pieces of fencing that we had used for keeping chickens out of a flower garden.  She wanted it to be a "raised bed" so she surrounded it with rocks.  Compost is important so she raided my compost heap.  Somehow she knew that it would be best to layer it with hay and wait for spring for it all to "become the best dirt".

Best of all she knows that Goat Poop is Garden Gold!  I found that very funny.  I know I haven't ever used that term.
